Nursery School

The Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church Nursery School NurserySchoolSign
was established in 1994 as a mission outreach of the Christian Education Committee of the Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church in New Britain, PA.  A board of volunteer church members governs the school overseen by the Christian Education Committee, and the Church Session.

Classes are available for children 3 years old by September 15th, and for those 4 years old by September 15th.  Tuesday and Thursday programs are for the 3 year olds, and Monday, Wednesday, and Friday programs are for the 4 year olds.  A five day Pre-K class is available only in the afternoons.  Hours for AM classes are 9:00 to 11:30AM.  PM classes run from 12:30 to 3:00 PM.

Registration for September classes begins on January 15th of that calendar year.  Classes are filled on a first-come basis.  Church members and current families are given early registration.  A non-refundable registration fee accompanies your application, and your cancelled check is your receipt.

Visitors are welcome to the school and need to make an appointment by calling the Director at 215-230-8747.  Calls will be returned as soon as possible.

All new children new to the school receive a home visit by the teacher in late August or early September to get acquainted with the child and family.

We attempt to follow the schedule of the Central bucks School District with respect to days off and snow days.  There are slight differences though.  There is one day a month selected as a staff day for the teachers.

The playground is fenced for the safety of all when playing outside.  Fire drills are held during the warmer months of the year.

A Parent Handbook is given to each family upon entry to the school, and a signature page is to be returned to the school.

Each child receives a school tote bag when entering the school.  Tee shirts with that logo are available for purchase for those interested.
