What to Expect

Visitors are welcome and anticipated at Lenape Valley!  We'll look for you!  We enjoy having new and frequent visitors and hope you will introduce yourselves to our Deacons as you enter the Narthex.  A welcome table is available to the left as you enter the church's narthex.  There, we have a knowledgeable church volunteers, numerous free materials, and a wide variety of literature.  All of these items are provided to help make you a comfortable and welcome guest in our church home.

Services are held at 9:00AM and 10:45AM in the Sanctuary during the fall, winter, and spring seasons and at 10:00AM during the summer.  As you approach the entrance to the sanctuary, ushers are ready to assist you and will provide you a Sunday Bulletin that lists the Order of Worship and a schedule of church activities for the following week.  After you find a seat, and if you are a visitor, Friendship Pads are located in the pews.   We would appreciate your recording your name, address, phone number and any comments you may want to add in a Friendship Pad so we'll have a record of your visit.

The worship service at Lenape Valley progresses without announcement. The Bulletin includes the text for all congregational prayers, responsive readings, and creeds. The Presbyterian Hymnal and Holy Bible are located in the racks in front of each pew. Texts of songs sung in New Song service are printed in the bulletin and displayed on a screen in the chancel area.

From 10:00AM and 10:45 AM, the Fellowship Hall is opened for coffee and pastry throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. All members and visitors are welcome to stop in, have a cup of coffee or tea, and introduce yourself to others in the LVPC congregation.

Map and Directions

LVPC's official location is 321 W. Butler Avenue (Route 202 and Ute Rd.), New Britian, PA 18901.

If you are coming from the South on Route 202 from Route 309, you will need to drive north on Route 202 for approximately 4.0 miles across County Line Road, across Route 152, and through the town of Chalfont.  Once you reach the railroad tracks, LVPC will be on your left in approximately 0.5 miles.  To reach the parking lot, turn left onto Ute Road (just prior to the Chal-Brit Shopping Center) and the parking entrance will be on your left.

If you are coming from the north on Route 202 from Doylestown, you will need to drive approximately 2.5 miles (6 minutes) from the Doylestown Hospital and entrance to the 611 bypass and turn right immediately after the Chal-Brit Plaza (Giant Food Market) onto Ute Road.

If you need more help, click HERE to go to Google Maps.

If you are unable to find transportation to the church, we have volunteers that are able to provide transporation for you.  Please call the church office (215)-345-1099 and we will be happy to make arrangements for your special needs.

Parking

Because the church faces Route 202, many of the internet maps lead you to believe the entrance is also off of Route 202.  Instead, access to the church is off of Ute Road and parking is located in the back side of the church building.  Dedicated spaces have been made available for both visitors and handicapped in the first row and first column of parking.  Overflow parking is also available across Ute Road in the GIANT Supermarket parking lot.  Convenient ramps, steps, and sidewalks are available for accessibility from both the regular and overflow parking lots.

Caring for Your Child

We provide child care for infants and toddlers.  However, children are welcome to accompany their parents to worship services.  Children's bulletins and worship kits are available on a table outside the sanctuary.  We ask that you return the worship kits following the service or leave them in the pews.  Greeting Deacons or staff at the Welcome Table can direct you to the Nursery.  Except in the Summer, Sunday School for all children of all ages is offered at 9:00 AM.

Communion

ChaliceAndPlate.jpgAll who have been baptized, regardless of age, are welcome to participate in the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.  Communion is not a possession of this congregation or of the Presbyterian Church it is the Lord's Table.  Lenape Valley celebrates the Sacrament of Holy Communion in different forms: passing trays of bread and wine among the congregation at the Traditional 9:00 service and through intinction (dipping of bread in the wine) at the altar at the 10:45 New Song service.

After Worship

FellowshipHall.jpgAt the conclusion of the worship service, we invite you to make yourself known to persons sitting around you.  Greet our pastors in the Narthex and stop at the Welcome Table to receive a welcome bag, a copy of a New Testament Bible, and to take the opportunity to speak with members to learn more about our church.  From 10:00AM and 10:30 AM, the fellowship hall is opened for coffee and pastry throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons.  All members and visitors are welcome to stop in, have a cup of coffee or tea, and introduce yourself to others in the LVPC congregation.
